Ruby Hoette is a London-based designer and educator whose work explores the idea of expanding fashion practice to challenge the conventional disciplinary boundaries. She unpicks and reconfigures the relationships between and system, theory and practice, and looks at garments as artifacts that carry traces of social, cultural, and economic transactions.
Ruby was one of the first persons we wanted to connect with when we started our project, and we are very happy that she kindly accepted to be part of the event, and to share her thoughts and ideas about what extending a fashion practice can mean.
